Laura O’Shea

QF Radio Community Programme Producer
Hi! I’m Laura O’Shea, the new QF Radio Community Programme Producer. I’m a Scottish lass born and bred but decided to move to England in 2002 to chase my dreams of becoming involved in the vibrant UK Media Industry. I studied Media Production (TV and Radio) to Masters Degree Level and worked in the radio industry for 3 years before coming to Qatar for a new challenge.
I am a people person and enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am a music person and am a DJ and producer of dance music. I am a ‘radio person’! I’ve always loved radio for its unique personality; its ability to reach out, connect and provoke through sound, and am so thrilled to find myself here at QF Radio. Being involved in this field you meet people, hear stories, tell stories – growing alongside your listeners, for that reason it’s special. I’m looking forward to telling the Community related stories of Qatar Foundation so much that I think I might just BURST!
Tune in from September to catch my new Community show – ‘The Connection’. As the name suggests, the programme will connect peoples work, interests, passions, hobbies and make sense of everything that impacts on our daily lives here at Education City and beyond, radiating across Qatar. So, that’s enough about me, I’m looking forward to meeting with you now and telling YOUR stories!
