Exhibition: Zubarah Photographic Exhibition

Zubarah Fort hosts an exhibition of photographs from the recent archaeological excavations undertaken by the Qatar Islamic Archaeology and Heritage Project at the ancient settlement of Al Zubarah.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, prior to the emergence of Doha, the fortified city of Al Zubarah was a major trading centre. This photographic exhibition aims to portray the current work at the site; not as a record of a dead city but from a different perspective – as a living archaeological site, another page in the site’s evolving history.

Kindly note that material taught will be in the Arabic language, however the tutoring will be in both the English and Arabic languages.
Moreover, this course will clarify the difference between the
Islamic Securities and Traditional Securities. 
 
The Faculty would like to invite you all to attend this workshop,
however, please note that seats are limited,

In her latest exhibition, Kahraman turns her attention to female oppression found in the everyday, in a series of work focused on
women and domestic life. Using oil on linen canvas and distinct tones of vibrant colour covered with intricate designs,
Kahraman’s melancholic female figures are transformed beings, resigned to the dominant masculine authority.
